Russia destroys 180,000 t of Ukrainian grain after withdrawal from Grain Initiative - Foreign Ministry

During the nine days of shelling, Russia destroyed 180,000 tonnes of grain crops, 26 port infrastructure facilities, and five civilian vessels.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine tweeted this, Ukrinform saw.

According to the report, after withdrawing from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, Russia committed another series of war crimes by shelling Ukrainian port cities and grain warehouses.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summarized that in the first nine days, the aggressor state destroyed 180,000 tonnes of grain, 26 port infrastructure facilities, and five civilian vessels.

"We must stop the Hunger Games and ensure global food security now," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

As Ukrinform reported, on July 17, Russia announced the termination of the agreement with Türkiye and the UN on the Black Sea Grain Initiative. After that, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it would consider ships sailing to Ukrainian ports as military targets.
