UK imposes sanctions against Russians linked to Wagner PMC in Africa

The UK Treasury has imposed sanctions against 13 individuals and legal entities associated with the activities of the Russian PMC Wagner in Mali, Sudan, and the Central African Republic (CAR).

That's according to a press release from the British Ministry of Finance, Ukrinform reports.

The document of the Ministry of Finance states that Ivan Maslov, who is considered to be one of the leaders of the Wagner PMC in Mali, was sanctioned.

In addition, the British authorities imposed sanctions in Sudan against Andrei Mandel, Mikhail Potepkin, AL-SOLAG MINING COMPANY LTD, Meroe Gold and M-Invest, which are associated with the Wagner PMC.

The UK Treasury has also imposed sanctions in the Central African Republic against Alexander Ivanov, Alexander Maloletko, Vitaly Perfiliev, Konstantin Pikalov, and Dmitry Sytii. The list also includes LOBAYE INVEST SARLU and SEWA SECURITY SERVICES. All these individuals and legal entities are associated with the activities of the Wagner PMC in the country.

As Ukrinform reported, hundreds of Wagner PMC members arrived in the Central African Republic for rotation.
