Solskyi discusses export of Ukrainian agricultural products with Slovenian Minister

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia Irena Šinko.

The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported this to Ukrinform.

It is noted that during the meeting, issues related to the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe were discussed.

Solskyi stressed that it was unacceptable to extend the decision to restrict the supply of four agricultural crops.

For her part, Irena Šinko assured of her support for Ukraine.

As reported earlier, on 2 May, the European Commission announced the introduction of "exceptional and temporary" safeguard measures against imports from Ukraine, which restrict the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products to Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The restrictions will apply to four agricultural products: wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds originating in Ukraine and will remain in force until 5 June 2023.
