Twenty-five enterprises with Polish capital operate in Zhytomyr region

There are 25 enterprises with Polish capital operating across Zhytomyr region, with more than USD 2.5 million invested in them, according to the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration (RSA), an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Twenty-five enterprises have been established in the region with the participation of Polish investors, providing jobs for almost 10,000 community residents. The total amount of Polish capital attracted is more than $2.5 million," the RSA said.

Enterprises with Polish investment specialize in the production of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware, machinery and equipment for agriculture, electricity distribution, and control equipment, industrial refrigeration and ventilation equipment, as well as cultivation of grain and legumes.

According to the report, Poland is among the ten largest trading partners of Zhytomyr region. In 2022, the region's trade turnover with Poland amounted to $292.3 million, with export operations amounting to $123.6 million. This is 40.6% more than in 2021, while imports stood at $168.7 million, which is twice as much as in 2021.

Last year, 238 businesses from the region exported goods to the Republic of Poland, and 115 imported products from the neighboring country.
