“At the same time, we expect that we will be able to accumulate six times more funds to restore as much infrastructure and housing of Ukrainians as possible in 2023,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, joint implementation of Ukraine’s recovery plan will be an important part of cooperation with the European Union.

"Reconstruction will become a unifying idea for Europe. As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized, the reconstruction of Ukraine is not about some immeasurable future. This is a project that we are launching right now," Shmyhal added.

As reported, Ukraine is planning to begin the restoration of destroyed housing by using funds confiscated from Russian banks.
