PM Shmyhal: Ukraine’s energy system remains stable despite recent attack

Ukraine’s energy system remains stable despite Russia’s recent missile attack. Relevant services are working to eliminate negative effects.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“[Enemy] attacks on civil infrastructure across different regions of our country. Residential houses, hotel, shop, event center damaged. Casualties reported,” Shmyhal wrote.

According to Shmyhal, Russians want to intimidate Ukrainians, leave them in darkness on the New Year’s eve, cause as much damage to civil infrastructure as possible.

“Nevertheless, our energy system remains stable. All services are working to eliminate the effects,” Shmyhal added.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the country’s air defense forces. Russia and its terrorist troops will be punished for each missile, Shmyhal stressed.
