State Property Fund announces privatization auction for Ust-Dunaisk Port

The Ukrainian State Property Fund has prepared Ust-Dunaisk Sea Commercial Port State Enterprise for privatization.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Property Fund, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The privatization auction will take place via the ProZorro.Sale system on January 17, 2022. The starting price is UAH 60 million.

“This year Ust-Dunaisk Port has started to play an important role in the global food security. It was among the first to resume operation after the Russian full-scale invasion started. It has great potential for developing Ukraine’s agricultural exports. For this purpose, we need private investments that can be brought by private businesses,” the Ukrainian State Property Fund noted.

The lot consists of three assets: the port itself located in the Odesa region’s Vylkove; the Kiliia port station in the Odesa region’s Kiliia; and the lighter aboard ship servicing base on Shabash Island.

Loading operations are carried out at the Kiliia port station. The certified depth near the berth is 3 meters; the actual depth is 1.5 meters.

Ust-Dunaisk Port generated UAH 848,000 in net profit in January-September 2022 and transferred more than UAH 9 million worth of tax payments to the state budget in January-November 2022. The port has handled 153,000 tonnes of exported grain and 58,000 tonnes of imported consumer goods since April 1, 2022.
