Ukraine expects BSTDB to take part in reconstruction projects – Svyrydenko

Ukraine expects that the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) will take part in the country’s reconstruction projects.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister - Economy Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko during an online meeting with BSTDB President Serhat Köksal, an Ukrinform correspondent reports, referring to the Ukrainian Economy Ministry.

“Despite the fact that hostilities are still raging, in cooperation with partners, Ukraine is developing a plan and mechanisms for the recovery of our country. We hope that the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank will take part in reconstruction projects,” Svyrydenko said.

On behalf of the BSTDB, Köksal expressed interest in such projects. In his words, a decision was made to establish a relevant working group focusing on Ukraine.

The parties agreed to determine specific projects, which could be financed by the BSTDB, and start working on them.
