PM Shmyhal calls on French businesses still operating in Russia to leave its market

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal calls on French businesses that continue to work in Russia to leave the Russian market and not finance the Russian terrorist budget.

"We also ask responsible French businesses to leave the Russian market not to pay money into the Russian terrorist budget, from which Russia finances the genocide and war crimes against Ukraine, against democracy on the European continent," Shmyhal said at a joint press conference with Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and the Recovery and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty of France, Ukrinform reports.

At the same time, he thanked the French entrepreneurs who, despite the war unleashed by Russia, continue working in Ukraine, stressing that this approach is an important signal to all other French businesses.

"We highly appreciate such cooperation between Ukraine and French companies. I believe that those who relocated their business from Ukraine will return. Why? Because Ukraine is a future member of the European Union with extremely attractive conditions for investing and developing business, as well as earning capital," the Head of Government noted.

Shmyhal added that he and Le Maire already discussed the possibility of developing and implementing a special insurance instrument for French businesses to cover the military risks that exist in Ukraine and that the business pays attention to.
