Norwegian PM announces long-term support for reconstruction of Ukraine

Norway plans to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine for a long time.

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin on November 30, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Russian terror continues, and we must do everything we can to help Ukraine survive the cold winter," Stoere said.

He noted that Norway would take part in the reconstruction of Ukraine. "This will be announced next year and this should last for many years. This is a historic attempt, and we want many countries to contribute," he said.

The prime minister recalled that his country had helped Ukraine buy gas for the winter. The European Development Bank is coordinating the initiative, he said.
