Ukraine’s power deficit totals 20% - Ukrenergo

As of 11:00, on November 27, electricity producers covered almost 80% of consumption needs in Ukraine, a capacity deficit totaled about 20%.

The press service of Ukraine’s state energy company Ukrenergo said this in a statement on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"The restoration of the energy system is underway after the Russian seventh attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. As of 11:00, electricity producers cover almost 80% of consumption needs, which is gradually increasing due to the cold weather. Of this 80%, the critical infrastructure uses only about 10%, the rest volume of electricity is used to supply electricity to consumers," the report says.

Under such conditions, distribution system operators (oblenergo) have every opportunity to evenly alternate consumer restrictions. The consumption restriction mode continues to operate due to a capacity deficit of about 20%.

As reported by Ukrinform, as of 11:00 on November 26, Ukraine’s power deficit amounted to 25% of consumption needs.
