Large-scale emergency power outages enforced in Kyiv

Emergency power cuts are being applied in significant volumes in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv on Friday, November 11.

That’s according to YASNO CEO Serhii Kovalenko, Ukrinform reports.

"Morning. At night, there were new attacks on energy facilities in Ukraine. In Kyiv today, emergency shutdowns are applied in significant volumes – that is, we will run them beyond schedule," Kovalenko noted.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that previous stabilization schedules are currently not being applied.

"Emergency power outages are being applied in Kyiv by order of NEC Ukrenergo," the statement reads.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Ministry of Energy initiated inspections to check whether blackout schedules are being applied properly.
