Ukraine exports 12.9M tonnes of grain, leguminous crops

In the marketing year 2022/2023, which started on July 1, 2022, Ukraine already exported 12.9 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops. In particular, a total of 4.2 million tonnes was exported in October 2022.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, referring to the data from the Ukrainian State Customs Service, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Since the beginning of the marketing year 2022/2023, Ukraine has exported 4.9 million tonnes of wheat, 6.8 million tonnes of corn, 1.1 million tonnes of barley and 6.2 thousand tonnes of rye. Additionally, a total of 36.9 thousand tonnes of flour was exported.

A reminder that, on October 29, 2022, Russia announced its withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, allegedly due to drone attacks on the Bay of Sevastopol.
