Musk to continue offering Starlink services to Ukraine “for free”

SpaceX founder, inventor and investor Elon Musk will continue to fund Starlink services for the Ukrainian forces.

That’s according to Musk’s tweet, Ukrinform reports.

“The hell with it … even though Starlink is still losing money & other companies are getting billions of taxpayer $, we’ll just keep funding Ukraine govt for free,” Musk tweeted.

As reported by Ukrinform, Elon Musk previously confirmed that his company SpaceX was looking into abandoning further funding of satellite Internet services in Ukraine, which is provided by Starlink terminals transferred as aid.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, said Ukraine would find a solution to continue the operation of the Starlink system, expecting that SpaceX would ensure a stable signal by the end of the negotiations.

Subsequently, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, called for the creation of an international coalition to finance the operation of the Starlink satellite services in Ukraine or to find an alternative provider.
