Zelensky tables motion to appoint Pyshnyy as NBU governor

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has tabled in the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution on the appointment of Andriy Pyshnyy as governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the relevant information was published on the parliament’s website.

The text of the draft resolution and other accompanying documents have not been yet made public. At the same time, it is indicated that the draft resolution has been submitted to the leadership of the parliament for consideration.

As reported, on October 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Kyrylo Shevchenko from the post of governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Andriy Pyshnyy is a member of the Yermak-McFaul International Expert Group on sanctions against Russia.

From March 2014 to November 2020, Andriy Pyshnyy was the chairman of the Board of JSC Oschadbank.
