The United Kingdom is ready to provide Ukraine with financial support for the purchase of natural gas and to promote the development of Ukrainian gas production.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this on Telegram following his meeting with British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

"I am glad to meet British Prime Minister Liz Truss in New York. We continue to develop our strategic partnership: we discussed the supply of weapons, preparations for the heating season and the recovery of Ukraine. In particular, Britain is ready to provide financial support to Ukraine for the purchase of gas and to promote the involvement of British businesses in the development of the Ukrainian field of gas production," he said.

Both parties also agreed to create a working group to prepare for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which is to be held in the United Kingdom next year.
