Departure of ship with Ukrainian grain from Chornomorsk Port delayed due to bad weather

The vessel expected to leave Chornomorsk Port today was unable to start its voyage via the ‘grain corridor’ due to adverse weather conditions.

The relevant statement was made by Turkey’s National Defense Ministry on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The vessel, which was planning to leave Chornomorsk Port to ship grain today, could not start its voyage due to bad weather and sea conditions,” the report states.

Meanwhile, the two vessels that completed inspection procedures yesterday are now sailing towards Ukraine. Loading operations at Ukrainian ports are underway, the ministry added.

A reminder that, as of August 10, 2022, twelve vessels loaded with agricultural products left Ukrainian ports and are now sailing towards seven countries. The bulk carrier OSPREY S became the second vessel to have entered Chornomorsk Port for loading purposes.
