Ukraine to receive $500M in financial assistance from international partners – PM Shmyhal

Ukraine will receive $500 million in financial assistance from international partners.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Last week we agreed on receiving of $500 million from international partners," Shmyhal said.

In particular, $400 million will come from Canada, another $100 million from Japan.

As Ukrinform reported, Shmyhal said that in the coming months, the budget deficit could reach up to $5 billion. Therefore, Ukraine needs financial assistance, as never before, from the West.
