"The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine shall draft within two months and endorse an action plan for the transformation of food systems in Ukraine until 2030 with the participation of leading domestic and international experts and taking into account Ukraine’s Sustainable Development Goals until 2030, defined by Presidential Decree of September 30, 2019, No. 722," the document reads.

The plan should set national priorities for the transformation of food systems in Ukraine until 2030, including such areas as healthy eating, environmentally friendly production, resilience to market instability, and availability of food for all population categories.

The Government should also envisage the introduction of a system for monitoring the implementation of national priorities for the transformation of food systems in Ukraine until 2030, with the annual mandatory publication of the monitoring results by March 1 of the year following the reporting year.

The decree underlines that it was developed "for the purpose of sustainable economic development of Ukraine, ensuring national interests in the field of food security, and further establishment of our state as one of the world leaders in the supply of certain agricultural and food products."
