Government expects IMF program to be reviewed in February

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects the current program with the International Monetary Fund to be reviewed in February.

"We are waiting for the next review of the current program of the International Monetary Fund in February and, of course, we work towards continuing the next programs," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a briefing following the National Security and Defense Council meeting on January 24, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

The cooperation with the IMF mission takes place almost daily, he assured.

In November 2021, the IMF Executive Board adopted a decision to extend the Stand-By Arrangement for Ukraine for another six months and allocate a tranche of about $700 million. Ukraine received this tranche on November 24.

The Government of Ukraine undertook to implement 12 major "structural beacons" to receive funding under the SBA extended until June 2022.
