PM Shmyhal: Association Agreement with EU is Ukraine’s reform roadmap

The Association Agreement with the European Union is Ukraine’s roadmap for reforms and the basis for integration into the EU's internal market.

"Ukraine remains fully committed to the Association Agreement, which is still the roadmap for reforms and the basis for our country's integration into the European Union's internal market, including the free movement of services, people, goods, and capital," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said during the online discussion "Reforms for Investment in Ukraine", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, Ukraine is actively cooperating with the European Union in the areas of green transformation, digitalization, energy, and transport.

"Economic development and investment attraction are one of the main areas of our government's activity. The implementation of the Association Agreement contributes to attracting investment to Ukraine. In particular, it is one of the most important factors," said the Prime Minister.

He reminded that the National Economic Strategy until 2030, adopted by the Government, outlined 20 vectors with specific initiatives that would ensure the economic growth of the state and improve the well-being of Ukrainians. The authorities work in accordance with this document.

As reported, the National Economic Strategy until 2030 was approved in March 2021.
