Forty percent of Ukraine’s main road network have been renovated for two years of the Great Construction project implementation.

“More than 7,000 km of roads of various significance this year and almost 14,000 km of roads for two years of the Great Construction project implementation [have been built],” President Volodymyr Zelensky said at the forum "Great Construction: Roads and Bridges", an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the President, more than 500 crossings and bridges throughout the country have been renovated and built.

State and international funds have been attracted for the construction of roads within the framework of the Great Construction project, Zelensky stressed.

As reported, the Great Construction project was launched in the spring of 2020 on the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The purpose of the project is to build high-quality social infrastructure in Ukraine (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports facilities) and upgrade roads across the country.
