Stefanchuk signs law on expanding lending opportunities for farmers

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has signed the Law "On the Fund for Partial Credit Guarantee in Agriculture" (No.3205-2).

He wrote about this on his Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

"We are expanding lending opportunities for farmers! We have just signed a valuable law for Ukraine ‘On the Fund for Partial Credit Guarantee in Agriculture.’ It is one of the most important in the land reform package," Stefanchuk wrote.

The speaker stressed that from now on it will be easier for small-sized farmers to get a bank loan. Thus, according to him, the state will help farmers who own up to 500 hectares of agricultural land.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 4, the Verkhovna Rada supported the law (No.3205-2) on the creation of the Fund for Partial Credit Guarantee in Agriculture. The purpose of the Fund is to support small- and medium-sized agricultural enterprises that own or lease up to 500 hectares of agricultural land. To this end, the state will guarantee the fulfillment of obligations of farmers under credit agreements.
