Zelensky: FTA with Turkey to promote economic growth

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Ukraine Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a phone conversation have discussed issues related to the conclusion of a free trade agreement between the two countries.

Zelensky wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“Ukraine-Turkey partnership is deepening. It’s already strengthening the armed forces of our countries. The expected FTA will also contribute to economic growth. Talked about it by phone with Recep Tayyip Erdogan,” he wrote.

Zelensky has also added that he is “looking forward to meeting him in Kyiv at the Strategic Council’s anniversary meeting.”

As Ukrinform reported, on November 11, Ukraine’s Ivchenko-Progress and the Turkish company Baykar Makina signed a cooperation agreement providing for the supply of engines manufactured in Ukraine for unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured in Turkey. The signing took place within the framework of the SAHA Expo in Istanbul.
