Ukraine’s grain exports exceeded 19.4M tonnes

Ukraine has exported 19.410 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops so far in the current marketing year (MY, started on July 1, 2021), which is 2.865 million tonnes more than in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

In particular, since July 1, 2021, Ukraine has already exported 12.371 million tonnes of wheat, 4.475 million tonnes of barley, 55.5 thousand tonnes of rye, and 2.315 million tonnes of corn.

In addition, over the reporting period, Ukraine’s exports of flour came to 43.5 million (down 19.2 million tonnes from the same period last year).

As Ukrinform reported, on July 5, 2021, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and grain market participants signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 2021/2022 MY.

On October 19, grain market participants and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food signed an Annex to the Memorandum of Understanding for 2021/2022 MY. The document sets the maximum volume of wheat exports at 25.3 million tonnes.
