Nemchinov: There are no reasons for raising utility tariffs

Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov has said that currently there are no reasons for raising utility tariffs.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: "The local authorities are solely responsible for tariff formation. Therefore, high tariffs are evidence of local inefficiency. There are no reasons for raising tariffs for the population and there will be no.”

He stressed that sums in utility bills should not exceed the sums calculated on the basis of annual tariff proposals.

He also noted that NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine offers available conditions for gas both for household consumers and for producers of heat and hot water: "For household consumers there is an annual gas price of UAH 7.96 per cubic meter; for heat companies, Naftogaz offers three-year contracts at a price of UAH 7.42 per cubic meter for the first year”.

As previously reported, Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Chernyshov said that heat tariffs for the population would remain unchanged in the new heating season.
