Naftogaz expects new supervisory board to be elected by December

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine expects that new members of the company's supervisory board will be elected by December 2021.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of Naftogaz reported this on the company’s website.

“The Company […] expects that by December 2021, new independent members of the supervisory board will be elected through an open competition based on the merits of the candidates, including their ability to ensure management accountability in accordance with international best practices, as well as to promote foreign investment and promote the interests of the company on the international scene,” reads the report.

Chairman of the Naftogaz Executive Board Yuriy Vitrenko thanked government representatives Yulia Svyrydenko, Nataliya Boyko and Yuliya Kovaliv “for their constructive work under difficult conditions in the best interests of the company.”

As reported, at an extraordinary meeting on September 27, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a number of decisions regarding the work of Naftogaz. In particular, the government took over the powers of the company's supervisory board and changed the composition of the board.
