NBU buys $76.3 mln on interbank market last week

Last week, the National Bank of Ukraine bought US$76.3 million on the interbank foreign exchange market.

This is according to the NBU report seen by Ukrinform.

Following NBU's foreign exchange interventions at a single exchange rate, the National Bank bought $76.3 million on the interbank foreign exchange market from August 2 to August 6, 2021.

The regulator did not sell foreign currency during the specified period.

In total, since the beginning of 2021, the National Bank has bought $1,237.6 million on the interbank market and sold $169.5 million.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in 2020 the total purchase of foreign currency by the National Bank amounted to $4.929 billion, while sales stood at $3.891 billion.
