Govnt allocates UAH 106M for repair of State Emergency Service’s aircraft and helicopters

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 106 million from the state budget’s reserve fund for the restoration of aircraft used in emergencies and other civil defense tasks.

The relevant decision was initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Government portal.

"It is extremely important for the government to maintain the aircraft of the State Emergency Service in good condition," Economy Minister Oleksii Liubchenko commented on the decision.

The funds will be used to repair seven aircraft and 12 helicopters, which are in disrepair.

As Ukrinform reported, in mid-July, the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine completed the preparation and approval of the State Program for Development of Aviation Industry for 2021-2030. By 2030, the volume of production of aviation equipment should be provided for a total amount of more than UAH 200 billion.
