State budget gets UAH 35B more revenues than planned – PM Shmyhal

The state budget of Ukraine received UAH 583 billion in revenues in the first half of 2021, which is UAH 35 billion more than the target plan for this period and UAH 63 billion more than in the first half of 2020.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during an Hour of Questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He reminded that among the priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers are economic recovery, improving the investment climate and macroeconomic stability.

Shmyhal also thanked MPs for their approval of the Budget Declaration for 2022-2024, which was submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers.

"Such a declaration has been adopted for the first time in the history of Ukraine and shows the responsible approach of the government to the strategy of using budget funds," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, on December 15, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada approved the state budget for 2021, with revenues projected at UAH 1.092 trillion, expenditures at UAH 1.328 trillion, and the budget deficit at 5.5% of GDP.
