PM Shmyhal: Banks already provided UAH 51.3B of affordable loans

Ukrainian banks have already issued UAH 51.3 billion of loans as part of the government program “Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%”, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has written on his Facebook page.

"Affordable loans worth UAH 51.3 billion have been provided as part of the president’s program ‘5-7-9’. In particular, out of UAH 1.4 billion of loans issued last week, the lion's share comes from anti-crisis loans to replenish working capital at 0%. The program continues to work for the benefit of business,” the Prime Minister wrote.

Shmyhal also informed that the authorized banks signed 526 loan agreements worth UAH 448 million under the government program “Affordable Mortgage Loans at 7%”. In addition, 900 loan applications worth UAH 730 million are currently being considered by banks.

As reported by Ukrinform, the government program “Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%” was launched in Ukraine on February 1, 2020.

The government program “Affordable Mortgage at 7%” was launched at the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 1, 2021.
