Banks issued UAH 421M of loans under ‘Affordable Mortgage’ program

Some 495 loan agreements have been already signed for a total of UAH 421.3 million under the government program “Affordable Mortgage at 7%”, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Finance Ministry’s press service.

“As of June 29 of the current year, the authorized banks signed 495 loan agreements worth UAH 421.3 million under the government program ‘Affordable Mortgage at 7%’, both on the primary (22.13%) and secondary (77.87%) markets,” reads the report.

Also, 819 loan applications worth UAH 705.5 million are being considered by banks (19.38% on the primary market and 80.62% on the secondary market).

Twenty-three regions and the city of Kyiv have been involved in this program. Last week most active borrowers were registered in the city of Kyiv (35.2%), Kyiv region (29.1%), Kharkiv region (6.5%), Lviv region (5.7%) and Rivne region (4.2%).

As reported by Ukrinform, the government program “Affordable Mortgage at 7%” was launched at the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 1, 2021.
