Finance Ministry places government bonds for UAH 11.4B

On June 22, 2021, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry raised UAH 11.4 billion towards the state budget as a result of auctions on the placement of domestic government bonds, the Finance Ministry wrote on its Facebook page.

The Finance Ministry offered investors six issues of hryvnia-denominated bonds, with a maturity of 6 months, 1 year, 1.5 years, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years, and one issue of U.S. dollar-denominated bonds, with a maturity of 1 year.

Following the auctions, UAH 8.3 billion was attracted to the state budget from the placement of hryvnia-denominated bonds. An average weighted yield on 6-month bonds was – 9.0%, 1-year - 10.97%, 1.5-year - 11.30%, 2-year - 12.00%, 3-year - 12.30%, and 5-year – 12.59%.

USD 112 million was raised from the placement of foreign currency-denominated bonds. The weighted average yield was 3.70%.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Finance Ministry attracted more than UAH 7.97 billion to the state budget following auctions on the placement of domestic government bonds on June 15, 2021.
