Preparations for celebration of Ukraine's independence includes reconstruction of infrastructure projects

The plan for the preparations and celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence includes the reconstruction of large-scale infrastructure projects, according to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.

"Apart from festive celebrations, the plan for the preparations and celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence includes large-scale infrastructure projects, in particular such as modernization of six regional airports, the development of the EU railway route Kyiv-​Lviv-Sknyliv, the completion of the construction of a new medical and diagnostic complex at [the hospital] Okhmatdyt, etc,” reads the report.

The Finance Ministry noted that the projected amount of expenditures totaling UAH 5.4 billion includes the cost of construction and modernization of such objects.

The amount of expenditures envisaged for celebration activities is projected at UAH 100 million.

It is noted that financing of planned activities will be carried out at the expense of state and local budgets, other sources, including private investments, grants, donor assistance.
