NBU keeps discount rate at 7.5%

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has decided to keep the discount rate at 7.5%.

"The Board of the National Bank has decided to keep the discount rate at 7.5% per annum," NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the discount rate to 7.5% from April 16.

On March 5, the NBU decided to raise the discount rate to 6.5% from 6%. The discount rate at the level of 6% had been in effect in Ukraine since June 2020. Since last summer, the NBU Board several times decided to keep it at the same level.
