Almost all participants in privatization are Ukrainian business representatives – Sennychenko

About 99% of all participants in privatization in Ukraine are representatives of the Ukrainian business, according to Head of the State Property Fund Dmytro Sennychenko.

“In general, 99% of all those who took part in privatization are Ukrainian businesses. We expect foreign investors will take part in large-scale privatization," Sennychenko said at a press conference as part of the All-Ukrainian forum “Ukraine 30. Economy without Oligarchs”, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He also reminded that last year Ukrainian investors bought a bus station in Kyiv for UAH 230 million.

"Now a reconstruction is taking place there. There will be a completely new break room, service for travelers, and a mini-hotel. The mosaic on the walls has been preserved, and this summer the facility will reopen," Sennychenko said.

As reported, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that the government expects that the sale of large state-owned enterprises will replenish the state budget with UAH 12 billion in 2021.
