Ukraine, Slovakia sign memorandum on enhancing cooperation between enterprises

The Council of Exporters and Investors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) have signed a memorandum that will facilitate cooperation between Ukrainian and Slovak enterprises.

The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Senik and State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic Ján Oravec, who visited Ukraine as part of an official delegation led by Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The parties praised the results of the Slovak Prime Minister's visit to Ukraine and discussed ways to implement the agreements reached. In particular, they coordinated further steps to develop cooperation in such areas as trade, energy, investment, agriculture, transport, military and technical cooperation," the report reads.

The interlocutors agreed to hold a meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation by the end of 2021.

Senik also informed his interlocutor about the implementation of e-government and informatization projects, as well as the introduction of digital services in our country.

The Ukrainian side thanked for humanitarian assistance provided to combat COVID-19 within the framework of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and the Visegrad Group.

In 2020, trade turnover between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic amounted to USD 1,391.9 million.
