Slovakia interested in developing trade, energy cooperation with Ukraine – PM Heger

Slovakia is interested in developing cooperation with Ukraine in the trade, economic and energy spheres, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger has said.

He said this after a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Kyiv on Friday, May 28, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We want to develop our trade relations, which could benefit both parties. Therefore, an agreement is signed today between the Slovak agency SARIO and its Ukrainian partner. We are interested in cooperation in the field of energy - natural gas, electricity and, of course, hydrogen. And we all know that this requires a projected entrepreneurial sphere," Heger said.

Heger is on an official visit to Kyiv on Friday.

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) is operating at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
