Ukraine ready to start talks on integration into ENTSO-E – Stefanishyna

Ukraine has adopted all legal acts necessary to start negotiations on the country's integration into ENTSO-E - the European Network of Transmission System Operators.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna stated this at a meeting of the Commission for Coordination of the Implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“Ukraine has already approved all the necessary lists of legal acts within the commission and the government and the parliament have approved all the necessary laws to start bilateral negotiations on Ukraine's integration with ENTSO-E, the European Network of Transmission System Operators, and the access to the internal market of the European Union in the field of telecommunications services. Required technical assessments have been carried out,” Stefanishyna said.

As Ukrinform reported, in March, Acting Minister of Energy Yuriy Vitrenko stressed that the unified energy system of Ukraine will disconnect from the power systems of Russia and Belarus in 2022 and will go into isolated mode.

“After that, full synchronization with ENTSO-E will take place in 2023,” Vitrenko then said.
