Ukrtransnafta decreased oil transportation in Q1 2021

JSC Ukrtransnafta transported 3.5 million tonnes of oil in January-March 2021, which is 13.7% less compared to the relevant period last year, the company's press service reports.

The volume of oil transportation to Ukrainian oil refineries in January-March 2021 amounted to 525.9 thousand tonnes (down 11.2% from the relevant period in 2020), and oil transit – 2.96 million tonnes (down 4% from the relevant period in 2020).

In March 2021, Ukrtransnafta transported 1.1 million tonnes of oil, which is 31% less than in March 2020. In particular, the volume of oil transit operations through the territory of Ukraine decreased by 35.3%, to 903 thousand tonnes. The volume of oil transportation to Ukraine’s refineries also decreased by 0.5%, to 195.4 thousand tonnes

The total volume of oil transportation in February 2021 increased by 0.7% compared to February 2020, to 1.2 million tonnes, and in January 2021- decreased by 5.5% compared to January 2020, to 1.2 million tonnes.

According to JSC Ukrtransnafta, in 2020, the company exported 79.9 thousand tonnes of oil to the Republic of Belarus under the sale and purchase agreement concluded with BNK (UK) Limited. In 2019, the company transported 15.509 million tonnes of oil, which is equal to the results of 2018.
