Razumkov signs law on financial support to entrepreneurs affected by quarantine restrictions

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov has signed a law providing one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 8,000 to individual entrepreneurs and employees of enterprises, Ukrinform reports referring to the parliament’s press service.

“The law has been sent to the President of Ukraine for signature,” reads the report.

The Law "On assistance to insured persons for the period of restrictive anti-epidemic measures introduced to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus" (No.5300) provides for one-time financial assistance to individual entrepreneurs and employees of enterprises, who due to quarantine restrictions were forced to suspend work. Payments will be provided to insured persons who are employees of economic entities registered in the regions included in the red quarantine zone.

According to the law, one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 8,000 will be allocated from the state budget of Ukraine. In addition, individual entrepreneurs and employees of enterprises can count on assistance from local authorities in the amount to be determined by local governments.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Verkhovna Rada at an extraordinary meeting on March 30 approved the presidential Law "On assistance to insured persons for the period of restrictive anti-epidemic measures introduced to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus”.
