Government keeps fixed price for electricity for household consumers until May 1

The fixed price for electricity for household consumers set at UAH 1.68 per kWh will be valid in Ukraine until May 1, 2021.

The relevant resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers has been published on the Government portal, Ukrinform reports.

"The fixed price for electricity for household consumers: the period of application - from January 1 to May 1, 2021," says an annex to the resolution.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 24, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision to keep the price of electricity at UAH 1.68 per kWh after March 31, 2021.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal noted that Ukraine's National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom under the terms of public service obligations (PSO) can sell electricity at market prices.
