Government to pay financial assistance to entrepreneurs affected by quarantine restrictions

The Ukrainian government will pay a one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 8,000 to individual entrepreneurs and employees of enterprises that had to cease their activities due to quarantine restrictions introduced in the red zones, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

“Financial payments and assistance will be introduced in the same way as people received in the winter. In particular, to support people and business, special measures have been developed, which will be implemented in cooperation with local authorities. The state is ready to pay an assistance of UAH 8,000 to individual entrepreneurs and employees of enterprises affected by restrictions introduced in the red quarantine zones,” Shmyhal said at a government’s meeting on March 24, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

He also called on local authorities to assist these people. “In addition to state support, we also expect local authorities to introduce additional payments for these people. It will be right and responsible," said Shmyhal.
