NBU bought $30.5M on interbank foreign exchange market last week

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought $30.5 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week, according to data provided by the central bank.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, the National Bank bought $30.5 million on the interbank foreign exchange market between March 15 and March 19, 2021. The regulator didn’t conduct currency sales over the reporting period.

Since the start of 2021, the National Bank sold $20 million and purchased $290.5 million on the interbank foreign exchange market.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank sold $3.891 billion and purchased $4.929 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2020.
