Ukraine plans to launch regular flights with Serbia

Ukraine plans to open regular air traffic with Serbia.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has already approved the order on the signing of the relevant intergovernmental agreement, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry.

Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii noted that the Government authorized Chairman of the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine Oleksandr Bilchuk to sign the agreement.

"Despite the pandemic and crisis in global aviation, we continue to expand the list of countries with which we cooperate in air transportation, and go through the necessary domestic procedures to conclude future agreements," the minister commented.

Kryklii added that the conclusion of this agreement will create a bilateral legal framework necessary for the implementation of regular air traffic between Ukraine and Serbia. This, in turn, will contribute to the activation of bilateral ties, the establishment and expansion of effective bilateral economic relations, as well as allow the liberalization of the air transportation market between the two countries.

As reported, on November 5, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the protocol on air traffic between Ukraine and Qatar.
