Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and members of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce have discussed the prospects of cooperation.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister noted that German business in Ukraine invests, creates jobs, pays taxes and brings new standards and technologies, the Government portal reports.

"For its part, the Government continues to pursue reforms. Judicial reform remains key for us. This is what business expects and what society expects to feel protected," said the Prime Minister.

In addition, he told that the Government had recently approved the National Economic Strategy until 2030.

“The document is balanced and envisages strategically important steps," Shmyhal stressed.

The Prime Minister said he hopes that the 4th German-Ukrainian Business Forum, scheduled for March this year, would yield results in the development of bilateral relations.

In turn, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gennadiy Chyzhykov noted that the business forum is an important event enabling Ukrainian entrepreneurs to strengthen their presence in Germany.

"It is critical for us that small and medium-sized Ukrainian businesses enter the German market. Despite the fact that it is not easy to work in the German market, but it is a great opportunity for Ukrainian business, so we will support it," said Chyzhykov.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine and others.
