NBU bought $20M on interbank foreign exchange market last week

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought $20 million on the interbank foreign exchange market last week, according to data provided by the central bank.

According to the results of foreign exchange interventions, the National Bank bought $20 million on the interbank foreign exchange market between March 1 and March 5, 2021. The regulator didn’t conduct currency sales over the reporting period.

Since the start of 2021, the National Bank sold $20 million and purchased $260 million on the interbank foreign exchange market.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank sold $3.844 billion and purchased $4.929 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2020.
