Ukraine’s public debt not changed over year of government's work – PM

The total public debt of Ukraine has remained practically unchanged over the year of a new government's work.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during a press conference dedicated to the results of the year of the government's work under his chairmanship, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The total public debt of Ukraine has not changed during the year of our government's work; moreover, there were times when it decreased by USD 3 billion," the PM said.

As Ukrinform reported, at the end of January 2021, the total public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to UAH 2,558.22 billion, or USD 90.74 billion.

March 4 marks the anniversary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine headed by Denys Shmyhal.
