Ukroboronprom expands cooperation with India in defense industry

Ukraine’s State Concern Ukroboronprom will expand cooperation with India in the defense industry; in particular, preliminary agreements have been reached to sign bilateral contracts worth $140 million.

Director General of Ukroboronprom Yuri Husev said this at a press conference at Ukrinform.

"There are confirmed arrangements and signed bilateral documents. In particular, six bilateral documents on intentions, on clarifications and on needs for a total of 140 million dollars. These are not contracts yet, but these are projects that we have to develop together with partners from India," said Husev.

He added that the documents were signed during the international exhibition Aero India 2021.

As previously reported, Husev said that as part of the international aviation exhibition Aero India Bangalore-2021, the Ukrainian side signed agreements with foreign partners for a total sum of more than $70 million.

The international aviation exhibition Aero India 2021 opened in Bangalore on February 3. It is one of the major exhibitions and air shows in the defense and aerospace sector.
