Energoatom paid EUR 12.5M to Westinghouse for nuclear fuel

Ukraine's National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom paid EUR 12.5 million to Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB under current financial obligations, the press service of Energoatom reports.

It is noted that despite the constant shortage of operating assets, Energoatom paid Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB for nuclear fuel according to the schedule.

"The fulfillment of financial obligations for the supply of nuclear fuel produced by Westinghouse confirms Energoatom's commitment to long-term fruitful cooperation between the companies," reads the report.

Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB is a strategic partner of NNEGC Energoatom. Cooperation with Westinghouse allowed Energoatom to diversify the sources of nuclear fuel supply for nuclear power plants and strengthen Ukraine's energy security.
